This project was created a tactical restoration plan for priority areas within the Tweedsmuir-Entiako herd range. The tactical plan will be used to develop site-specific preliminary restoration implementation plans to focus restoration activities on specific sites in priority landscapes that have been impacted by disturbance and contain or provide access to high-value core caribou habitat. Restoration planning will aim to minimizing predation risk on caribou, maintain connectivity and protect core intact habitat area through functional and habitat restoration techniques. The project will also develop a monitoring plan based on adaptive management principles which will include methods to assess treatment efficacy monitoring and caribou response. The proposed project augments Provincial Caribou recovery efforts for the Tweedsmuir-Entiako herd.
